Today is Guy Fawkes or Bonfire Night here in the UK! Last year we took Ethan for his first big fireworks show, but this year, as Ivy is still very young (and it's really cold out!) I think that we're going to give it a miss.
We will still have fun tonight, we'll have a lovely Bonfire Night dinner (I'm thinking toad in the hole), we'll play with glow sticks, our glowing rockets and even a few sparklers. I've seen a few great safety tips for using sparklers, so we may try using a disposable cup to protect Ethan's hand, or sticking it in a carrot to keep it further away from his hands. And I'm sure that we'll have some neighbours that do some fireworks that we can watch from our garden!
