I'm Niki Morgan and I am a Certified Play Therapist.
I worked as a teacher for many years, specialising in working with young children in the Early Years and I was the Deputy Headmistress of a nursery school in London.
I took a career break to raise my children, and whilst at home with them I started to focus on play based learning at home, using some of the early years curriculum to guide our activities and promote learning and wellbeing. I started to share this with others online and through social media.
Once my children were a little bit older I decided that the next step was to train as a Play Therapist. I trained with the Academy of Play and Child Psychotherapy obtaining my Post Graduate Certificate in Therapeutic Play Skills followed by my Post Graduate Diploma in Play Therapy. These are academic courses which involve assignments as well as 200 hours of clinical sessions with clients.
I am now registered as a Play Therapist with Play Therapy UK and can be found on the PTUK Register of Play and Creative Arts Therapists.
