Today we played with shapes! I got out a Christmas snack tray and chose all of the red and green blocks for us to do some Christmas shape sorting.
Of course Ethan is too small to be able to sort the shapes himself, and mostly he enjoyed tipping the tray over, but he did then put the shapes back in (in no particular order). But it was a good opportunity for me to introduce him to shapes and the concept of sorting, which are both important elements of Problem Solving, Reasoning and Numeracy.
