Canada Day Writing Tray

08:30

I am really getting the kids into the Canada Day spirit in every way that I can, so why not make even our writing tray have a red and white theme to it to add to the fun and festivities!

What you'll need:

This is so easy to set up, I used the white rice and red lentils with maple leaf confetti that I had already mixed up in a sensory bin, but any combination of red and white bits would do. I filled the tray with a shallow layer of that then set it up with the Canada bookmark and a small Canada flag to use to write with.

Ethan was intrigued by it straight away and sat down and started to write the word Canada. He sometimes gets frustrated because he is such a perfectionist when it comes to his writing, so it's nice to set up a writing tray for him to be able to work on letter formation without any pressure of getting it perfect as he can just shake the tray and it's gone!
