Paper Plate Sun Craft

18:19

It may be cold and grey in London, but we are dreaming of a warm sunny holiday and making bright sun crafts to help us imagine that we're there!  Mark Warner are looking for parent bloggers to bring their families on a ski holiday and a sun holiday this year, and we want to be one of those families!  They want to choose a crafty family, and who is more crafty than us?

What you'll need to make the paper plate sun:

  • paper plate
  • yellow paint
  • scissors
  • yellow ribbon

We made this simple paper plate sun craft to show how much we would love a sunny ski holiday and fun in the sun on the beach!  We started by painting our paper plates all yellow, front and back.  Ethan and Ivy love to paint and happily covered their plates in yellow paint.

When the paint was dry they used their scissors to cut little slits all along the outside of their paper plate suns to look like the suns rays.

Next we tied a piece of yellow ribbon to our paper plate suns and hung them up in the window to bring us luck for sunny days!

Our perfect holiday is definitely one that suits the whole family and Mark Warner certainly fits the bill there.  We absolutely love to travel together and enjoy places that really cater to families.  We like to see that there's something for everyone, kids clubs and loads of activities for the little ones, beautiful locations and spa treatments for the grown ups!  We love to go on adventures and play and learn through everything that we do, so I know that Ethan would love the chance to learn to ski an Ivy would love to play in the snow.  We all need a little bit more time in the sun too, and the kids are crazy about the beach and the sea, so they would have so much fun on a sunny holiday.  It's also our last year before Ethan starts school, so we've got to get in as much travel as we can before our time becomes much more limited!
