Miffy Birthday Party

08:30

Ivy has just turned two and we celebrated with a Miffy themed party at the farm!  Ivy loves Miffy so it seemed like the perfect choice for our sweet little girl and what better place to celebrate then at the farm.

We chose a farm that did a lot of the party planning for us, so there was very little that we needed to do.  We arrived at the farm and gave them our box of decorations and went to have fun while they did the setting up!  We met all of our guests in the play barn, so the kids got to run around a bit before our first farm activity which was an animal encounter.  We met bunnies, guinea pigs, a chicken and a mouse.  Ivy was a bit unsure of the animals at first but soon grew in confidence and gave them all a little pat.

After that we went to watch the pig races!  These little piggies are so cute and Ivy loved watching them, especially as the winner was called Peppa (her very favourite pig!) Then the kids played in the playground and trampolines before our next activity.

Next we went on a tractor ride!  We had to bundle up warm for this one as it was getting pretty chilly, but the kids enjoyed seeing all of the animals all around the farm and getting to ride on a real tractor!

Finally we headed over to the party room where we found everything decorated for us and looking fantastic.  Ivy's party sign was on the door, the table was set up with animal masks for each of the children and a set of Miffy ears with their names on them too!  (I was sent these from the company, but you could easily make your own using the template here.)  The kids then sat down to a nice warm dinner, which was definitely what they needed after the chilly tractor ride!)

On the main table were the cupcakes that I had made with the Miffy cupcake toppers and displayed on this cupcake stand.  There's also some Miffy napkins, orange cups, and a number 2 candle.  (I had prepared some water bottles with Miffy labels, but forgot them in the car!)

For decorations we had the sign on the door that I made and we put up some Miffy bunting that we were sent, which looked lovely all around the party room.  We also had a big number 2 that we decorated with little Miffy pictures cut out from extra bunting (but you could also print out pictures and stick them on.)

After the kids finished their dinner they were each brought an ice cream (which I thought it was too cold for, but they all devoured them!) and then of course we sang Ivy happy birthday and she blew out the candle on her cupcake.  Before the children left they were each given a balloon and a party bag!  There were lots of comments that these were the best party bags ever, as the cute little tote bags that we were sent are very unique.

Inside the party bags was a copy of the Miffy's Birthday book, some colouring pencils, a keychain and a balloon that we were sent as well as a little notebook, bookmark, stickers, raisins, chocolate bar and farm toy that I added.

Ivy had so much fun and I think that her little friends did too!  Having the party at the farm where they did most of the work was a nice break for me...but I would have liked making Miffy shaped sandwiches and themed snacks...maybe next year!
