Canada Day Handprint Bunting

09:30

It's almost Canada Day! We've started to think about decorating our house to celebrate, and trying to think of creative ways to do it! For Ethan's first Canada Day we made handprint Canada flags, so inspired by that I decided to make handprint bunting this year!  Of course we now have to have 2 sets of handprints (one of which is still very difficult to get, so Ivy's are a bit of a blur!)

First we made some red and white triangle bunting, by cutting out the triangles and sticking them to ribbon and decorating with washi tape. Then I traced Ethan and Ivy's hands onto white paper and cut out their hand outlines to stick on the red flags. Next we painted their hands with red finger paint to make handprints, to then cut out and stick on the white flags.

It turned out really well, the bunting looks festive for Canada Day, but I love it so much that I may just end up leaving it up all year around!
