Back to School with Smiggle

07:30

We were invited to a 'back to school' event in a Smiggle shop last week to have a look at all of their adorable stationery products.  I was like a kid in a candy store, they just have such fun stuff!  I always loved back to school shopping as a kid, so it's fun that I get to share that experience with Ethan now.

I love that they are encouraging kids to 'get creative' with all sorts of different pens and pencils that work in all sorts of different ways.  Kids can even try out all of the products on the doodle bar in the middle of the shop, it's Ethan's favourite thing to do there (I didn't bring him to the event as it was at his bedtime, but we do go into Smiggle often.)

For 'back to school' they've got a pick 'n' mix area with pencil cases and a wide variety of pens, pencils, erasers and so much more!  All of the bloggers were sent away from the event with a goody bag including a gift card to buy a few bits for 'back to school' that suited their child.

I gave Ethan the gift card and took him into Smiggle yesterday to set him free to choose whatever he liked.  I suggested that he chose a pencil case and some things to go in it, and he liked that idea.  He chose the red motorbike pencil case, chocolate scented pencils, stamper and spy pen!  They went perfectly with the ruler, drumstick pen, shiny pencil and notebook that I got in the goody bag.

His favourite is definitely the spy pen, he can write invisible messages with the pen and then shine the light from the lid to be able to see the message.  I can see a lot of fun activities happening with that pen in our future!  And I can see a lot of trips back to Smiggle to buy more fun things to go in his pencil case (and probably in mine!)

* This is a review post, we were invited to Smiggle and to try out some of their products to give our honest opinions about them.*
