Sibling Bath Time

09:30

Ever since Ivy was born, we've been giving her baths with Ethan.  I think that she had her very first bath by herself, but every time since we've bathed them together.  Ethan was so excited the first time that we said that she would be joining him in the tub, the thing that he wants most to do with his little sister is to be able to play together!

We got a little bath seat for Ivy (we bought this Summer Infant one from Amazon) so that she has somewhere a bit more stable to sit while Ethan bounces around.  She splashes around like crazy though, I was worried that he would be splashing her too much, but I think it's actually the other way around!  He gets to have a few toys in the bath when she's in there with him, we try to encourage him to choose soft ones, like the cute seaside ducks that Baker Ross sent to us, or some these foam flowers that we love (I can't find a link to them unfortunately, but I suppose they are similar to these foam letters and numbers) and then he can share them with her.

Ethan has also started becoming more involved in washing himself, brushing his teeth and even washing his own hair in the bath.  He's a very independent boy, so he loves being able to wash his hair with this Easy Rinse Foaming Shampoo that was sent to us by Johnson's Baby.  It's great because he can use the pump himself, rub it into his hair without it dripping everywhere, make it into a mohawk (our favourite thing to do while washing hair!) then we rinse it all out easily and he's done.  He does try to do Ivy's hair for her as well, but we're not quite ready for that yet!
