Kindle Free Time Event

20:36

Today I went to the Kindle Free Time event at Maggie & Rose in London.  They were demonstrating the new Kindle Fire HDX and the new Kindle Paperwhite.  They now have a feature called 'Kindle Free Time' which allows you to have better control over how your child uses the device.  On the Paperwhite (which is still primarily for reading books) you can monitor how long your child reads, see how much they've read and they get badges for achieving certain goals.  On the Fire (which is more like a tablet) you can use the feature to keep children in their own folder (password protected) and set time limits for their use of apps and reading books.

Unfortunately Ethan still isn't very well, so I couldn't bring him with me today.  I'm sure that he would have loved to run around and play at Maggie & Rose.  I did get to bring home a goody bag with a Kindle Fire HDX, a Marware kid proof case (genius!) and a Chalkee Kids Stylus. Ethan will get to play with all of those tomorrow, and then I'll write up a proper review for you. Tonight, it's all mine ;)

* I was invited to the Kindle Free Time event and given a goody bag containing the above items for free, which I will review for my blog.  To see more about my review process please click here *
