New Years Calendar Craft Station

22:11

New Years Eve is such a fun time of year, but with all the craziness of Christmas we hardly ever get a chance to do many crafts or fun activities for it.  But I think that if we take away the pressure and increase the glitter we could make New Years crafts in a much easier way.  These calendars are super easy and they would be perfect for a kids craft station at a New Years Eve party!

What you'll need for a New Years Calendar Craft Station:

  • glittery card or foam sheet
  • small calendar
  • assorted sequins and glittery gems
  • Bostik Foam Pads
  • stickers
  • glitter
  • Bostik White Glu
  • scissors
  • pipe cleaners, ribbons, etc.

We've made this craft a bit early, but because it's so easy to do independently it was perfect to set up at the table and then let Ivy explore and create on her own while I got on with other holiday preparations.  We filled the table with all sorts of craft supplies and materials, and then Ivy got to work preparing her materials and decorating.

She started with a sparkly foam sheet, then used the foam pads to stick shiny pieces all around it.  She also used the foam pads to stick on the little calendar.

I then helped her out a little bit by using the white glue to write out the year 2018, then let her stick things onto the glue for the year.

Then I attached a colourful piece of wire to hang it up and our calendar is ready!
