Autumn is the perfect time to stay in and do some nice cosy crafts, and we are loving these autumn themed crafts that we were sent from Baker Ross.  They're easy little kits that require little or no extra materials and the kids have so much fun making them.  They're the perfect thing to pull out on a rainy day after school or when you want to have a quiet morning on the weekend.

We love these owls that come in a complete kit, all of the pieces have peel off backs so they just stick together easily.  The peeling is great for the kids hand strength and fine motor skills, then they get to use their creativity to decorate their owls however they like.



The other craft kit that I wasn't sure about, but have ended up loving is these sand art leaves.  Again the kit comes with everything you need, but I was worried that this one could be quite messy, so we used paper plates to try to keep the sand contained, and it worked perfectly.  The children then peeled off parts of the leaves to reveal a sticky surface then poured the coloured sand into each section.  They really enjoyed this one as it's different to any other crafts that we've done, so we will definitely be trying some of these again!



I love that we've always got a few of these craft kits on hand for the days that the kids are desperate for an activity but I'm short on time.  They look so lovely when they're finished as well, they're perfect to hang up as autumn decorations.
