Top Ten Easter Sensory Activities

08:30

Easter is fast approaching and I'm sure that we're all looking for fun activities to do with the kids, and I always find that sensory activities keep them busy and engaged for ages!  So here are our top ten Easter sensory activities that you've got to try this year!

We made these Easter Sensory Bottles this year, my first attempt at slow moving bottles and I am hooked!  They are mesmerising and a great tool to help the kids calm down after a busy day.

For a different bottle take a look at this Easter Egg Letter Hunt Sensory Bottle from No Time for Flash Cards, this bottle uses coloured rice and eggs with letters on them to challenge the kids to find.  Such a fun idea!

I always avoid decorating eggs with the kids as I worry that it's just not an easy process for young kids, but this method for Marbled Easter Eggs from Hands on as we Grow looks not only easy enough for kids but like a super fun sensory activity!

A few years ago I made the simplest Easter Sensory Bin ever for Ethan.  You only need a few things (that you're likely to already have for Easter) and the kids just absolutely love playing (and making a mess!) with all of that Easter grass!

Danya Banya has another fantastic Easter Sensory Bin for kids to explore, I love the variety of items that she has in there, I've got a few ideas for future sensory bins now!  This Easter Sensory Sink from Frogs, Snails and Puppy Dog Tails is a great way of having some water play fun for Easter, and keeping it all in the sink for easier clean up!

I am loving these Textured Eggs from Twodaloo, covered in different materials to keep the kids exploring and discovering them.  It would be a great activity for older kids to make them as well!

This Easter Slime from Little Bins for Little Hands looks like so much fun, we really have got to try making slime, the kids would love it!  And another great messy activity is these Erupting Easter Eggs from Adventures of Adam, such a fun way to explore reactions and play with Easter eggs!

Another fun way that we've played at Easter is with Easter Egg Play Dough, which also makes a great gift for friends!
