Ethan was a very lucky boy this Christmas and got lots of lovely presents. So, today we started to write some thank you cards. I got out the crayons and let Ethan write on the cards first, and then I added a bit to them.
Ethan is still getting the hang of colouring, but it is a great activity for his Creative Development. It's also an excellent activity for his Personal, Social and Emotional Development as he learns about gratitude and good manners.

ReplyDeleteHe is very lucky, and definitely appreciates it :)
DeleteMy daughter, Annie, 4 yo, has been making her own thank you cards for a year now. She likes making them. She enjoys coloring ang sticking things together. I'd say she's quite an artist already! hahah! And I would definitely agree that when kids are thought to make their thank you cards, we are basically teaching them to be grateful to others. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteHi Joan, that's fantastic, I can't wait until Ethan can do all of that colouring and sticking by himself. But for now I'm happy to help him, and hopefully learning gratitude from a young age will help them to grow up into lovely respectful children :) Thanks for commenting!
