Dough Nab The Game Review

We have been playing a new game called Dough Nab that was sent to us to review from Ginger Fox.

The Dough Nab game is really sweet looking and eye catching with the three brightly coloured doughnuts that you can see in the box.

When you open up the box you will find that along with the three brightly coloured doughnuts you also have a head baker paper hat, plenty of doughnut shaped cards, a turn taker token as well as the instructions on how to play the game.

As there were only three of us playing we started by removing one of the doughnuts and all of the corresponding coloured cards.  We then shuffled the cards and handed out ten to each player.  The first player to go then turned over one card, then passed the turn taking token to the next player to turn over a card and so on.

The aim of the game is to get rid of all your cards, and you do this by being the quickest to nab the doughnuts.  Doughnuts can be nabbed in several different ways, one is if a nab card is played, then all players grab a doughnut as quickly as they can.  The other ways are if there are three of the same doughnut cards showing, then you try to nab that doughnut.

There are also magical glittery doughnuts and if one of these is showing you also get to nab to a doughnut as if the magical one matches the other two showing.

If you are the quickest to nab a doughnut you then get to give your pile of cards that you've already turned over to another player.  All players then place their cards back into a pile and continuing playing until one player runs out of cards.  It is quite a quick game, so you can play a few rounds of it.  And the lucky player who has won the previous round gets to wear the head baker hat!

The kids had a blast playing Dough Nab The Game and have asked several times to play it again since.  It's great for their quick thinking skills and reflexes and just a lot of fun to play!
