The Greatest Snowman - Christmas Circus at Squire's 2018

11:04

On Friday we were lucky enough to be invited to a special sneak preview show of this year's Christmas Circus at Squire's Garden Centre put on by John Lawson's Circus.  The show this year is called The Greatest Snowman, and after watching last year's circus there we just knew that we were going to love it.

The show is opened by the fantastic Ringmaster who introduces all of the acts.  There is the family performing a rolling globe act to open the show, which started the kids off on being completely mesmerised the whole way through!

This is followed by the aerial silks act (sensational!), chair balancing, juggling tennis rackets and the cloud swing, which had us all on the edge of our seats!  There is also the hilarious clown Rudi to entertain us between acts.  He has the audience joining in as he makes music and does his own plate spinning and juggling act.

The final act is the wheel of death, another one that was dangerously exciting and had us all watching through our hands.

Of course photos don't quite do it all justice, so do take a look at our little video compilation of the circus experience.

Throughout the show we know that Frosty the Snowman who we were introduced to in the beginning is watching and trying to learn some circus skills to join the show.  He comes out again at the end as does Santa and they invite all the children up to sing with them.

We also got to go and meet Frosty at the end of the show, which the kids were very excited about!

And when you think it's all over, you still get to go and meet Santa in the little tent next door.  I really like the set up this year, it's lovely and cosy and great for taking photos of the children meeting Santa.

He does of course give them each a little gift as well (look away if you want to be surprised!) There are a selection of different gifts (probably based on the ages of the children) but Ethan (7) and Ivy (4) both got these fantastic circus gift packs with their own pack of cards to learn some card tricks and even a spinning plate set!

We had a fabulous time at The Greatest Snowman circus at Squire's Garden Centre and highly recommend it for a fun family day out.  We went to the one in Shepperton, but there are also circuses at the Badshot Lea, Stanmore and Washington locations.  You can go the the Squire's website to book tickets.
