We love a tree filled with kid made ornaments, so now we've added these cute little wreath decorations that we've just made to our very full Christmas tree!
We were sent a box full of craft supplies from Bostik, so we chose a few different bits to put together to make our cute little wreaths. We used:
- pipe cleaners (we used some gold ones and very Christmassy pine ones)
- pom poms
- red and green felt
- ribbon
- Bostik clear glue pen
We started by twisting together our pipe cleaners, wrapping them round and round each other, which is great for fine motor control and strengthening hand muscles.
Then we looped the pipe cleaners around into a circle and crossed the ends over at the bottom to bind them together.
Next we covered our wreath in glue. We glued all over one side to stick it down to the felt, and then glued all over the other side to stick on our decorations.
We stuck pom poms all over the wreath as well as a ribbon that I tied into a bow for the kids to finish it off.
Then we left our wreath to dry and tied a small string around the top to hang it in the Christmas tree.
