After a few weeks off (sorry if anyone stopped by to share and wondered where Our Sunday Storybook was) party planning is now over and we're back on track!  Happy Thanksgiving to everyone in Canada, and to Canadians celebrating around the world (like we are!)  

This week we're looking a few new books that we got for Thanksgiving.  One is called Thanksgiving is for Giving Thanks and it's for Ethan, to explain a bit more about the story of Thanksgiving and to open up the conversation about what we are thankful for (so very much!)



The other book is called The First Thanksgiving and it is a lift the flap book, so I got this one with Ivy in mind, so that she can be involved in the reading of the story.  I love that we've brought the tradition of Thanksgiving with us to the UK, and it's easy to just eat a big meal and colour in some turkey pictures and forget to talk about why we celebrate.  Hopefully these books will start the conversation for us.
