Fishy Stories and Fishy Play

20:18

As it's World Book Day on Thursday, I decided that we should do bookish activities all week (any excuse really, we love books!)  So today we read two of our favourite fishy books; Tiddler and Sharing a Shell, both by Julia Donaldson, and then we played with fishy finger puppets to act them out.  Then we even played with fish in the bath tonight and pretended they were Tiddler getting caught and brought on the boat.

Ethan loves reading and loved playing with these finger puppets today!  It really helps to keep his attention and make the story come to life.  I had different fish doing different voices as the characters and he was giggling away.  It was so much fun and a fantastic activity for World Book Day and developing Ethan's Communication, Language and Literacy and he learns to love books and reading.
